Bahrain, UAE agree to boost tourism cooperation

Berlin, Mar. 9 (BNA): Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jaffer Al Sairafi met the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri who visited Bahrain's pavilion at the International Tourism Exhibition "ITB Berlin".

The meeting discussed ways of enhancing cooperation related to the tourism and hospitality industry, exchanging experiences, especially in the field of business and leisure tourism, and promoting the two countries locally, regionally and globally as a unified tourist destination.

Al Sairafi expressed pride in the relations between Bahrain and the UAE and their progress in the tourism sector, as well as in the growth and prosperity achieved by this sector and its contribution to economic development in the two countries.

She noted the progress made by the UAE in tourism and its increasing contribution to the country's GDP, as well as the increase in the volume of investments in the tourism sector.

Al Sairafi stressed the ministry's keenness to widen cooperation with the various authorities responsible for tourism in the UAE.
