Bahrain to host first Gulf Healthcare and Sport Congress in November

Manama, July 8 (BNA): Bahrain will host the first Gulf Healthcare and Sport Congress (GHSC), set to take place on November 9-10.

 

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, General Sports Authority Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, will patronise the two-day event, which will be organised by the University of Bahrain (UoB), in collaboration with EducationPlus.

 

UoB President, Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, expressed deep pride in HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad’s patronage, noting that HH’s support will contribute to achieving the goals set by the organising committee.

 

He asserted that HH Shaikh Khalid’s patronage embodies HH’s ongoing support for the health and sports sectors in the kingdom, under the comprehensive development march, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

 

Dr. Al-Ansari indicated that the first Gulf Healthcare and Sport Congress will attract a group of experts, consultants, and academics from different countries, noting that the GHSC will shed light on the kingdom’s achievements in the fields of health and sports.

 

The event hosts, UoB’s College of Health and Sport Sciences will form the necessary committee and unveil details of the GHSC.
