Bahrain records highest number of Covid-19 cases

MANAMA: Bahrain yesterday registered 1,316 new Covid-19 cases – the highest recorded in a single day – alongside 728 recoveries and four fatalities.

Three Bahraini men – aged 91, 63 and 60 – and a Bahraini woman, aged 42, died yesterday, taking the total deaths to 531.

Of the new cases, 321 were expat workers, 931 contacts of active cases and 64 travel-related.

An additional 728 people recovered, taking the total recoveries to 137,555.

Of the 9,684 active cases, 157 are receiving treatment and 68 in critical condition.

Bahrain has so far registered a total of 147,770 cases.

The kingdom has conducted 3,633,535 tests.
