Bahrain ranked fourth in Arab states for wealth per adult
BAHRAIN has been ranked fourth in the Arab states for wealth per adult, according to a new report.
Bahrain’s wealth per adult amounted to $98,000 (BD36,848), according to Credit Suisse Research Institute’s 13th Global Wealth Report.
The report showed continued wealth growth across all regions, led by North America and China.
Qatar ($183,100) came first in the Arab world, followed by Kuwait ($171,300) and the UAE ($122,800).
The wealth share of the global top one per cent rose for a second year running to reach 45.6pc in 2021, up from 43.9pc in 2019, it said.
Wealth grew at a strong pace in 2021 and by year-end, global wealth at prevailing exchange rates totalled $463.6 trillion, a gain of 9.8pc versus 2020.
Wealth per adult rose 8.4pc to $87,489, the report said.
