Bahrain King orders revamp of Supreme Council for Youth & Sports

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today (June 11) issued a royal decree, calling for the restructuring of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) under the chairmanship of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. 


The newly-formed SCYS, which will serve for a renewable four-year term, will include: Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa as First Deputy Chairman; Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa as Second Deputy Chairman, reported BNA.


The other members include Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa; Mariam Hassan Al-Sayed Mustafa; Shaikh Turki bin Duaij Al Khalifa; Abdulhakeem Yacoob Al Khayyat; Hisham Ahmed Al Rayes; Mohammed Abed Ali Mohammed Al A'ali; Fajer Saleh Al Pachachi as well as Tala Abdulrahman Fakhro.


The revamped SCY also comprises Minister of Finance and National Economy; Minister of Labour; 

Minister of Health; Minister of Information; Minister of Youth Affairs; Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority CEO; Tamkeen CEO aand President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities.


The Royal Order shall take immediate effect, and will be published in the Official Gazette, it added.
