Bahrain continues to have 'low Covid-19 fatality rate'

Bahrain continues to have low Covid-19 fatality rate, stated a top official.

Health Ministry Under-Secretary Dr Waleed Al Manea, during a remote press conference on Wednesday, stated that officials continue to monitor the situation.

“Our objective is to combat Covid-19 and its spread through a unified effort,” said Dr Al Manea.

“The total recoveries of the active cases has reached 70.45 per cent, which is a positive indicator while the death rate is 0.24pc.”

“This is really low.”

The official added that the number of bed capacity at quarantine facilities was 3,410 beds of which 668 are occupied.
