Bahrain Airshow panel revamped

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday issued an edict amending some of the provisions of an earlier one on establishing and forming the Supreme Committee of the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS), based on a proposal by its chairman.

The edict stipulates that Article (2) of Edict (61) of 2009 on establishing and forming the Supreme Committee of the BIAS shall be amended as follows:

The Supreme Committee of the Bahrain International Airshow shall be established under the chairmanship of His Majesty King Hamad’s Personal Representative Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and comprise the following members:

1. Transportation and Telecommunications Minister

2. Commander of the Sakhir Air Base

3. Civil Aviation under-secretary at the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry.

4- Director of the Bahrain International Airshow

5. A representative of the Royal Court

6. Two experienced members to nominated by the committee chairman.

“The entity mentioned in Clause (5) of the preceding paragraph shall determine who represents them in the Committee.”
