BAC achieves ISO recertifications

MANAMA: Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operator and manager of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), has successfully achieved recertification for Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015), Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015), and Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001:2018).

The new certifications demonstrate BAC’s ability to consistently provide services that meet customer expectations and fulfil applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

BAC chief executive Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah said: “Recertification to these global management standards reaffirms BAC’s dedication to work within internationally recognised frameworks in managing a healthy and safe workplace and proactively improving its service quality standards.”

He added: “In light of how Covid-19 has changed the face of air travel, we have a duty to demonstrate to our passengers, airport staff and regulators that we are prioritising health and safety in a measurable manner while also allowing us to validate these measures and processes.”
