Arab financial market leaders to gather at major forum
The Arab Federation of Capital Markets (AFCM) annual conference will be held in Bahrain this week bringing together local, regional and international financial experts for an exchange of best practices and knowledge.
The virtual event, held under the patronage of Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, with more than 350 attendees from across the globe.
The AFCM Annual Conference: Bahrain 2022 seeks to create an enabling environment of Arab Financial Markets while also strengthening integration and liquidity.
It will also play a key role in uniting Arab financial market leaders with regional and international experts.
“Organising and hosting the AFCM annual conference offers a unique opportunity for regional and international exchanges, brokerage firms and regulators to discuss key capital market topics and exchange experience and expertise,” said Bahrain Bourse chief executive Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa.
“I’m confident that the conference will bring on board new ideas and pave the way for further collaboration between capital market participants to support the development of the capital markets on a local and regional level as well as streamline interconnectivity.”
Speakers will shed light on key themes such as digitisation of post-trade process, Sharia-compliant funding and data modernisation, among other critical issues.
