Alba wins Brandon Hall Group Silver Award for Excellence

Alba is the recipient of the coveted Brandon Hall Group Silver Award for Excellence 2023 for its training and development programme (TDP) under the ‘Best Development Programme’ for Frontline Leaders’ Category.

This is the fourth time that the aluminium smelter has been recognised by the Brandon Hall Group with the previous awards being won in 2016, 2018 and in 2021.

The TDP is one of Alba’s major and long-running initiatives that aim at boosting Bahrainisation by raising the professional calibre of its Bahraini employees through education and skills training, thus enabling them to take positions in supervisory ranks and above.

Commenting on the award, Alba’s chief executive Ali Al Baqali said: “We are delighted to be recognised amongst the best by receiving the prestigious Brandon Hall Award again.

He added: “Alba’s TDP Programme is a top initiative designed with a deep understanding of individual needs and commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2023. The initiative has allowed us to develop hundreds of nationals throughout the years and today we are proud to have 85 per cent Bahrainisation out of our total workforce.”
