Alba chairman inspects Line 6 safe start-up progress

The Chairman of Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) Board of Directors Shaikh Daij Bin Salman Bin Daij Al Khalifa, visited Line 6, today on Sunday 21 July 2019, to inspect the final stages of Line 6 construction and witness the handover of the remaining pots for the Safe Start-Up of Line 6. Alba’s Executive Management and Owners’ teams from Line 6 and Power Station 5 (PS 5) joined the Chairman on his visit.

 Commenting on this occasion, Shaikh Daij Bin Salman Bin Daij Al Khalifa said:

“I would like to thank all Alba employees and contractors for the continued success of the safe start-up of Line 6.  

I am confident that the Line 6 Start-Up Team will continue to take Extreme Ownership on Safety as we approach the final stages of the ramp-up".

 Alba Potline 6 was commissioned on 13 December 2018, ahead of schedule; since then, there has been a gradual ramp-up with the successful start-up of 106 pots on 26 March 2019 and 212 pots thereafter on 18 April 2019.
