Air France winter schedule grows to 182 destinations

ir France sill serve up to 182 destinations this winter, including 87 long-haul routes, as the carrier rebuilds its network.

The airline will add new long-haul services from Paris Charles de Gaulle to Muscat (from 31 October), Colombo (1 November), Zanzibar (18 October) and Banjul (1 November), and resume several services paused since the beginning of the Covid crisis including Fortaleza (22 October), Cape Town (31 October), Hong Kong (5 November) and Seattle (6 December).

Its US network – which incorporates New York JFK, Boston, Washington DC, Detroit, Atlanta, Chicago, Miami, Houston, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles – will be progressively increased and by March 2022 is expected to reach around 90 per cent of 2019 capacity, up from 50 per cent in summer 2019.

The airline says its US capacity will in part be restored by adding frequencies to key destinations such as New York, Miami and Los Angeles, and by using larger capacity aircraft.

The winter season will also mark the entry into Air France commercial service of Airbus A220 aircraft which will operate services to Berlin, Madrid, Barcelona, Milan and Venice initially, followed by Bologna, Lisbon and Copenhagen.

Air France will continue with its fully modifiable tickets policy for travel until 31 March.
