Active Covid-19 cases drop below 1,000-mark

Bahrain yesterday recorded 97 new Covid-19 cases alongside 133 recoveries and no fatalities, the Health Ministry said yesterday.

Of the new cases, 23 were expat workers, 56 contacts of local cases and 18 travel-related.

An additional 133 people recovered, taking the total recoveries to 269,260.

Of the 985 active cases, eight are receiving treatment and six are in critical condition.

Bahrain has so far registered a total of 271,631 cases.

The kingdom has conducted 5,781,405 tests.
