40 ideas qualified as part of the third edition of Fikra

Manama, Dec. 3 (BNA): Following a strenuous screening and evaluation process, 40 ideas have been qualified as part of the third edition of the Government Innovation Competition (Fikra), launched in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

 

An intensive distance-training course on presentation skills is being held for those qualified for the first phase of the assessment in cooperation with the US-based “Babson College”. The course aims to hone further the skills of participating individuals and groups to present their ideas to a specialist committee, comprising ministers and senior government officials.

 

The online course, which started on 2 December and will continue until 4 December, will prepare the participants for the next phase of the competition, in which the committee will select the final projects in coordination with the concerned authorities, with the approval to start the projects’ implementation process.

 

Fikra aims to further strengthen creativity and innovation within government services and workstreams. In line with the citizen's aspiration, Fikra provides an opportunity to involve public sector employees submit ideas and proposals designed to further enhance government efficiency and excellence by transforming challenges into development opportunities in accordance with the principles of the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 based on sustainability, competitiveness and fairness, and the 2019-2022 government program.
