Site Visit: Behind the scenes of Carrefour

FCCIB, the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bahrain, in partnership with Carrefour, is pleased to invite you to a special Site Visit of Carrefour back areas, taking place onMonday 6^th February at 9 AM at The Bahrain Mall in presence of Mr. Laurent Hausknecht, Regional Director of Gulf, at Majid Al Futtaim Retail.

About Carrefour

Carrefour was launched in the region in 1995 by UAE-based Majid Al Futtaim, which is the exclusive franchisee to operate Carrefour in over 30 countries across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, and fully owns the operations in the region. Today, Majid Al Futtaim operates over 320 Carrefour stores in 16 countries, serving more than 750,000 customers daily and employing over 37,000 colleagues.

Carrefour first opened in the Kingdom of Bahrain in 2008. Today Carrefour operates 12 stores in Bahrain and employs over 1,000 employees with direct and indirect job opportunities.

By supplying 90% of its products from Bahrain and the region, Carrefour Bahrain works with 400 local suppliers and partners from across the region, which contributes to providing support to the local economy.

• 9:15 to 9:45 am – Brief Presentation about Carrefour Bahrain and Bahrain Mall with Q&A
• 9:45 to 10:15 am – Tour through the store and heading to the Back Area of Carrefour, including: BLC section (logistics), Bakery prep, Receiving and Decoration
• 10:15 am - 10:30 am – Tour of Bahrain Mall Solar Panel designed, built, operated and maintained by COMSIP AL A'ALI W.L.L (VINCI ENERGIES) for YELLOW DOOR ENERGY the developer
• 10:30 am to 10:45 am – Visit of Bahrain Mall karting: the world's largest indoor e-karting
