In the frame of the French Week, FCCIB and the French Embassy are pleased to convey you to a Business Seminar on “Investment and Taxation in France”.

The event is free and will take place at the Gulf Hotel in Manama, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Agenda

3:00 p.m.: Opening speech by H.E. Bernard Regnauld-Fabre, Ambassador of France to Bahrain

3:05 p.m.: Presentation of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bahrain (FCCIB) by Mr. Jean-Christophe Durand, president of FCCIB.

3:25 p.m.: “Why is France attractive?” by Mr. Hamza Belgourari, Business France Representative.

3:40 p.m.: Introduction of the Seminar by Mr. André Reichardt, Senator of Bas-Rhin (Alsace) and Mr. Olivier Eck, from the Agency Access Alsace (AAA).

4:00 p.m.: “Contrary to misconceptions: Taxation and Investment in France” by Mr. Stephane Taïeb, taxation specialist and partner at Baker & McKenzie.

Mr. Stephane Taïeb is focused on general corporate taxation, with a particular experience in transactions, post-acquisition restructurings, international reorganizations, tax audit and litigation notably in the real estate and hotel business areas. He joined the Tax Group of Baker McKenzie in 2002.

4:20 p.m.: “France welcomes your investments!” by Mrs. Rosiane Houngbo-Monteverde, managing partner at the law firm Legal-Nomads.

Legal Nomads is a French Law Firm tailor made for French expatriates and foreign investors looking to invest in France. The firm is managed by Mrs. Monteverde, an attorney with more than 10 years’ experience.

During this seminar, officials, experts and attorneys will give us their views about the taxation and investment’s situation in France. The seminar will be followed by a questions-answers session and a reception.
