Le Ritz-Carlton inaugure une nouvelle salle de conférence, mariages, banquet et concert appelée 'The Arena'

The Arena, the Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain’s new 4,000sqm conference, wedding, banqueting and concert arena has been officially inaugurated.

A ribbon and cake-cutting ceremony was performed by Grammy award-winning record producer Red One who later took to the stage at a private party on Saturday evening at the venue.

Ambassadors, VIPs and members of the media were welcomed by property GM Bernard de Villèle and senior members of his management team who were later joined by members of the newly-renovated Royal Beach Club.

The party was staged in partnership with Mercedes-Benz dealers Al Haddad Motors which displayed cars in the arena and offered attendees the chance to meet world champion Lewis Hamilton and his Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas in a prize draw. Red One is the stage name of Nadir Khayat, the Moroccan-born Swedish singer and songwriter, who performed a powerful set alongside a dance group.

The new state-of-the-art permanent structure, which was originally set up as a temporary building as part of the UNESCO Village hosting the 42nd meeting of the World Heritage Committee in 2018, will now comfortably hold up to 3,500 people in arena-mode.

Hotel insiders say four major concerts are planned to be staged at The Arena during 2020, with more details to follow, with the first likely to tie-in with the arrival of thousands of motorsport and music fans for the Bahrain grand prix weekend jamboree in March.
