FCCIB organized a webinar on Sunday 19 April 2020, and was honored to welcome Mr. Jérôme AKEL, Country Manager at Majid Al Futtaim – Carrefour Bahrain, as guest speaker to express his thoughts on ‘Source, supply and match changing customer demand in COVID-19 period for Carrefour Bahrain’.

Mr. AKEL highlighted the impacts that the current situation had on Carrefour Bahrain and more generally on the retail sector. Mr. AKEL underlined a spirit of solidarity that emerged from his teams and customers, emphasizing on a change in the consuming behavior and giving the hope of a more sustainable consumption in the future (ex: short food supply chain).

He ensured that Carrefour will keep on providing the essential necessities and is ready to cope up with the post COVID-19 situation, whatever the changes will be.

More than 25 guests enjoyed Mr. AKEL’s intervention and his speech was followed by a dynamic Q&A session.
