Smart City Summit 2023 kicks off in May

Manama, Mar. 19 (BNA): The sixth edition of the Smart City Summit Committee 2023 (SmartWay Consulting Company) will be held on May 16-17, under the patronage of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak.

 

The organizing committee stressed that the sixth edition of the summit keeps pace with the Kingdom's vision to initiate smart and sustainable cities.

 

The summit will focus on presenting global practices in the digital transformation of smart cities and discussing the most prominent challenges facing countries in the transition to smart cities.

 

The summit will also include an exhibition in which more than 20 local and international parties will participate, presenting the latest solutions and smart building systems, sustainable energy solutions, artificial intelligence systems, and technical solutions for environmental sustainability and waste management.

 

The minister said that the summit will be attended by more than 30 speakers and experts with specialization in the smart city sectors. They will present working papers and discussion sessions that highlight the work of government and private sectors on the smart initiatives and systems that have been adopted in the new projects.

 

The sixth edition of the Summit will feature distinguished participation from Bahrain’s government and private sectors, as well as the participation of GCC countries to further exchange cooperation and experience.
