Shura Council approves legislation to withdraw money from key fund
The Shura Council today unanimously approved an urgent legislation to withdraw money from the Unemployment Fund to pay for the wages of Bahrainis in the private sector for April, May and June.
It aims to support 100,000 Bahrainis at a cost of BD215 million.
MPs approved the legislation last Tuesday and it will be now fast-tracked by the Cabinet to be ratified by His Majesty King Hamad.
