Saudi exports hit $146bn; eyes 32,000 units by 2035

Saudi Arabia has registered a solid growth in its exports, which rose to SR550 billion ($146.4 billion) over SR169 billion ($45 billion) last year, reported Saudi Gazette, citing a senior government official.

Efforts are on to increase the industrial establishments three-fold from 10,000 to 32,000 by 2035, stated Engineer Mohammad Al Suwailem, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources.

He was speaking at a meeting to review the key challenges being faced by factories owners in Tabuk region.

The ministry, he stated, was working to accelerate and implement the customs exemption after legalizing it and placing them under one administration. There are 118 commodities targeted to be localized, he added.
