Providing housing services top priority
Manama, Nov. 28 (BNA): Minister of Housing and Urban Planning Amena bint Ahmed Al Romaihi affirmed the importance of the private sector and real estate development companies in strengthening the social housing sector in Bahrain.
The minister noted that the government land development rights program represents an opportunity to enhance the partnership between the government and private sectors through the participation of real estate development companies in building housing units.
Al Romaihi said that the Urban Panning and Development Authority is keen to prepare the construction requirements in various governorates and facilitate real estate projects for the private sector.
The meeting was attended by Board Chairman of Bahrain Property Development Association Aref Hajris and several members of the association along with senior officials of the ministry.
