New initiative to enhance business skills of youths
MANAMA: A youth entrepreneurial development initiative is being launched as part of Manama Entrepreneurship Week (MEW) activities to enhance the capabilities of Bahraini youth and to guide and inspire them to become entrepreneurs.
The initiative entails a launch workshop whereby participants will be forming their individual development plan, followed by a series of workshops and functions.
In addition, the initiative will include a year-long mentorship programme whereby each participant will be paired with a business and community leader to support in their development.
The MEW events will be held under the patronage of Capital Governor Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, from Sunday to Thursday.
Co-founder of the initiative Mohammed Al Haddad said it aims at enhancing the capabilities of Bahraini youth and transforming them from job seekers into job creators, towards achieving Vision 2030.
He added that the initiative will be useful for those wishing to pursue development themselves and explore their entrepreneurial aspirations.
The launch workshop will be conducted by the initiative co-founder Christiane Saba, who is an international expert in socio-economic development and youth empowerment, consulting for international institutions, local governmental institutes and NGOs.
