KPMG in push for professional growth of Bahraini employees

MANAMA: A new batch of Bahraini staff recently obtained professional certifications with support from KPMG in Bahrain’s Jassim Fakhro Fund.

This milestone showcases the progress of the firm’s flagship personal development initiative, designed to support the professional growth of young Bahraini talent.

To date, 149 Bahraini employees have completed professional qualifications, with financial and mentoring support at a total cost of $1.532 million (BD577,600), covered entirely by KPMG in Bahrain.

The Jassim Fakhro Fund was established in 2001 to honour Jassim Fakhro, the co-founder of KPMG in Bahrain, and to support the professional development of talented young Bahrainis. It provides local staff with access to financial support, along with time and mentoring from more experienced colleagues to help them pursue and complete any professional qualification of their choice.

KPMG in Bahrain is a member firm of KPMG International. The firm was established in 1968 as the first national accounting and auditing firm, and it has grown to be one of the largest professional services firms in the country. The firm provides audit, tax and advisory services to a wide array of clients operating in different sectors, utilising the in-depth technical and industry experience of its professional staff.
