JCDecaux Bahrain is proud to announce the launch of the United Nations global road safety campaign Make A Safety Statement
JCDecaux Bahrain is proud to announce the launch of the United Nations global road
safety campaign Make A Safety Statement at Bahrain International Airport, with the
support of Bahrain Airport Company.
Developed in partnership with the United Nations and Saatchi & Saatchi, and launched
in 2024, the campaign aims to raise awareness of simple, proven behaviours that save
lives on the road – from wearing seat belts and certified helmets to slowing down,
avoiding distraction and never driving under the influence.
Already visible across JCDecaux networks in more than 80 countries and 1,000 cities
worldwide, #MakeASafetyStatement uses the power of out‑of‑home advertising to
support the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety and its objective to halve the number
of road‑related victims by 2030.
At Bahrain International Airport, the campaign creative appears across the Digital
Departures media network, reaching international and regional travellers at key
moments of their journey. Messages endorsed by global talents such as Formula 1
drivers and football legends – including Charles Leclerc, Mick Schumacher and Didier
Drogba – leverage on the wide popularity that these celebrities have in the Kingdom for
their sporting achievements.
The deployment of #MakeASafetyStatement in Bahrain reflects JCDecaux’s broader
commitment to having a positive impact on society and the environment. As a company
that has pledged to align with and advance the United Nations Sustainable
Development Goals, JCDecaux places health, safety and responsibility at the core of its
business model and vision.
By supporting global initiatives such as this UN road safety campaign, JCDecaux aims
to use its presence in public spaces to contribute to safer, more inclusive and more
sustainable cities worldwide.
