Gulf Air and Ministry of Youth and Sport Affairs Sign MoU to Support National Clubs

Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain 03 July 2019: Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, further strengthens its commitment in serving the youth and sports movement in the Kingdom by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Youth and Sport Affairs. The agreement was signed by H.E Mr. Zayed bin Rashid Alzayani, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and the Chairman to the Board of Directors at Gulf Air, and by H.E Mr. Aymen bin Tawfeeq Almoayed, Minister of Youth and Sport Affairs

Both parties are aimed at enhancing the existing relationship by supporting the members of the general assemblies in national clubs and sport teams through the cooperation between the airline and the ministry to support the youth and sport sectors within the Kingdom.

 

H.E Mr. Zayed bin Rashid Alzayani, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and the Chairman to the Board of Directors at Gulf Air said that the signing of this MoU reflects the airline's continuous commitment in preserving its stance as being an active member of the Bahraini society. Additionally, he highlighted the airline’s willingness to contribute to empowering youth and supporting national clubs, ultimately becoming the carrier of choice and representing the Kingdom in regional and international forums.

 

The agreement is in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King's Representative for Charitable and Youth Affairs, The President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports added H.E Mr. Aymen bin Tawfeeq Almoayed, Minister of Youth and Sport Affairs. Furthermore, the minister emphasized that the aim is to achieve additional support for the youth and for sport movements in the Kingdom through partnerships with various parties in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He pointed out that the agreement came in line with the terms of the initiatives of "Estijabah", the national program for the development of the youth and sports sector.

 

This agreement joins the list of a number of joint collaborations with many of Ministries and local institutions within the Kingdom of Bahrain. The national carrier continues to support local institutions as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility to contribute to the local community.
