Carrefour to open in Marassi Galleria

MANAMA: Eagle Hills Diyar, the developer of Marassi Al Bahrain, has signed an agreement with Majid Al Futtaim to open a Carrefour hypermarket at the upcoming beachfront mall, Marassi Galleria.

The signing took place at the Marassi Al Bahrain sales centre between Eagle Hills Diyar managing director Dr Maher Al Shaer and Carrefour Bahrain country manager Jerome Akel.

Set to open in 2021, Carrefour’s newest store in Bahrain will be a 3,000sqm hypermarket and ‘a first of its kind concept’ for the country.

Marassi Galleria – the main shopping, dining and entertainment centre in the Marassi Al Bahrain development – is also expected to be complete by 2021.

The mall’s attractions include a 2,400sqm aquarium and underwater zoo, a trampoline park, a waterfront dining promenade, an open-air rooftop offering panoramic views of the beach, and a multi-screen cinema by Cineco.
