Achievements in renewable energy field to be highlighted

MANAMA: Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr Abdulhussain Mirza will deliver a keynote speech on the projects and achievements of Bahrain in renewable energy fields during Gulf Industry Forum and Exhibition 2019, it has emerged.

This follows a meeting between the minister and a delegation from Hilal Conferences and Exhibition (HCE), the organiser of the event and a part of the Al Hilal Group.

The meeting reviewed preparations for the forum and exhibition, which will be held from February 5 to 7, 2019 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.

The minister praised the efforts of Al Hilal Group in Bahrain and its various activities in close co-operation with the ministries and government agencies in a number of fields.

The delegation included HCE managing director Jubran Abdulrahman, Al Hilal Group managing director Ronnie Middleton and exhibitions director Ahmed Suleiman.

Thanking the minister for his support, Mr Abdulrahman said, “Dr Mirza is one of the outstanding figures in the development of renewable energy policies.”

The Gulf Industry Forum and Exhibition will focus on policy issues, products and services for the future industry through leading intellectual discussions.

The exhibition will include companies specialising in aluminium, energy, environment, industry, logistics, industry training, fire and safety sectors.

The Northern Gulf’s leading event dedicated to promoting industrialisation will focus on the 4.0 industrial revolution and its relevance to the GCC economic diversification.
