On Tuesday 21st of November, The French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bahrain (FCCIB) organized an event on The Tax Reform in France, under the Patronage of HE Mrs Cécile Longé, Ambassador of France to Bahrain. The event took place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Diplomatic Area and was sponsored by KPMG in Bahrain.
The Guest Speaker for this networking event was Mr. Stéphane Taïeb, partner at Baker & McKenzie. Mr. Taïeb is an expert in general corporate taxation. He has considerable experience in international reorganizations and intangible assets management, particularly in relation to the real estate and tourism industry.
The event was opened by the speech of H.E. Cécile Longé, Ambassador of France to Bahrain and patron of this conference, followed by Mr. Jean-Christophe Durand, President of FCCIB, who introduced the theme of Taxation in France to the audience, highlighting the new Tax Reform.
Mr. Stéphane Taïeb made an insightful presentation on the reforms planned by the French Government to run a more 'business-friendly' economy policy in France with a focus on the tax relations between France and Kingdom of Bahrain. He also elaborated on concrete examples of foreign private and business investments.
The event was attended by more than 30 members, lawyers, tax experts and professionals having business or private properties in France.
